Life does not get better than this...

Today was a perfect autumn's day in Canberra. At times like this I just love living here and never want to leave. We had a beautiful walk around the lake today in the sunshine, which made it feel warmer out than it actually was. Just a gorgeous, gorgeous day.

Beautiful pictures Lily ! It amazes me that just looking at them, it could be "anyplace", and any country I guess. I'm sure than on up closer looking, I would see a difference in trees, flora, etc, It amazes me that looking across your lake and lakeside looks so very much like lake sides here in WI, USA. How little we can tell from a general view of things..*VBS*
And Happy Mother's Day to you on Sunday *S*

Oh, how beautiful. I agree with Finn, these look so much like almost Anywhere, USA. I guess I always pictured Australia as the dry, grey-greens and what tv shows portray as the "outback". Seems dumb of me to think the whole continent would be like that...but hey I'm still getting used to it being fall there!

Wonderful pictures!

Well Lake Burley Griffin was designed by an American and has lots of non-Australian native trees on its foreshore, so that might explain it!!

I'll take some photos of our gums and post them too. You'll see quite a contrast :)
