I laid out all the blocks to see what the quilt might look like. Ooooh it looks good! One of the blocks (bottom centre) is going to disappear a little bit against the sashing I've chosen, but it was incredibly difficult to choose fabric that would go with all of the fabrics I've worked with. I'm happy with my selection (made with the very patient help and assistance of my teacher who came to my rescue when I was tearing my hair out) and hope to get the sashing sewn to all the blocks by my final class tomorrow night. We're learning how to make the quilt sandwich and we will discuss quilting techniques. All right!

It is an awesome quilt Lily!! Great job, doesn't even remotely look like a first effort.
Everyone is so proud of you!!! *VBS*
I'll second Finn's comment - fantastic - isn't it wonderful what you can achieve given the right encouragement and guidance - lovely, well done you :o)
you are doing great!
Beautiful quilt. I love your fabrics. Can't wait to see it finished!
What a great job you did Lily! Very much does NOT look like a beginners first quilt!! NOT at all. Having some experience and sewing those little porjects beforehand helped you do a perfect job!
I'd say your teacher did a great job helping you with the color selection! I always have the ladies at the local quilt shop give their opinions about what I am making! Always helps.
Job well done...can't wait!
Oh, it is so nice. You should be very proud.
