Movie time

Not a lot exciting to report - but I have been to the movies twice in the past two weeks, which is a real luxury. With a one and nearly a half year old and no family in town you don't tend to get out very often.

My father-in-law kindly offered to babysit one night when we were in Bendigo and Carl and I went out to the cinema to see Casino Royale - the new James Bond flick. I have to say that both Carl and I were hugely impressed - we thought the film was excellent and loved Daniel Craig. Those piercing blue eyes are mesmerising! We look forward to the next instalment.

Last week, two nights before I returned to work I took some time out or 'Lily time' and went to see The Holiday - a romantic comedy with two of my favourite actors Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. I thought it was fantastic! It was what Love Actually should have been. It was a little corny and a little contrived, to be sure, but for lovers of romance it was excellent. I would have to say it's one of the best films I've seen for ages!

I really enjoyed going to the movies by myself. I might have to do it a little more often (but remember to arrive early enough to have time to buy an ice-cream!).

I love Love Actually - sis gave it to me for Xmas on DVD.

Casino is the best Bond yet.

Yes please to the blocks.

Happy New Year.

I haven't seen either of those movies. Waiting till they come out on video. I think the Holiday sounds like a Chick Flick so maybe an evening when I am home alone...

I loved Casino Royale! Never got to the Holiday one so will have to wait for the dvd.

I"m not sure why they call it coins. I know quilt with lots of strips like that are usually called chinese coins, but I"m not exactly sure why.

Romy is beautiful! How can you not love that smiley little face!

I thought Daniel Craig was the best yet, and I'm a bit of a Bond fan from way back. You're right about those eyes, and the lower lip had me mesmerized as well. Hot stuff!

Oh Lily, I am way behind on reading blogs. Romily looks so sweet coloring. I can remember my little ones sitting at the table doing the same. My daughter and I went to see the Holiday and loved it also. Far better then I imagined it would be. I loved Love Actually we just watched it again the other night. Love when Hugh Grant does his dance. take care!
