Waiting, waiting, waiting

What's a girl to do when waiting? Get busy of course! Romily and I made a delicious banana chocolate cake (inspired by an episode of Dora the Explorer, naturally!), which turned out very nice indeed - we finally had our oven fixed and it now cooks at normal temperatures. I might even attempt some biscuits soon!
And I whipped up two pairs of red corduroy pants and matching appliqued tops - one set for my little guy and another for yet another baby boy, born to one of the girls in my online mums' group. The sets are sized for around three months - both Kylie and I have healthy sized babies, so no doubt they'll both be wearing these outfits in no time at all.

I am feeling very full and very over being pregnant. I am having lots and lots of Braxton Hicks contractions - some rather uncomfortable - which is hopefully a good sign that the labour, when it finally gets under way, will be a lot shorter than the 16 hours I endured last time!

I've had lots of comments from other mums who've had multiple inductions - it seems it's a lot more common than I realised - thanks for the reassurance ladies. Let's hope once my obstetrician breaks my waters on Thursday morning it's only a couple of hours before I have my bubba in my arms :)

(Carl is primed to post the good news, so stay tuned!)

Good Luck Lily!
I’ve heard from pregnant women who eat lots of pine-apple to have the labour started... I hope everything goes well! Keep my fingers crossed!

The corduroy pants and tops are gorgeous!

Come on baby, you don't want Mummy to be induced do you? Really hoping that baby will come before Thursday.

Holding a good thought for you that the Little Bubs decides to make an appearance very shortly after your Thursday doc visit.

And the red and white outfits are just adorable!

Thanks to Carl, in advance, for keeping us posted!

Hi Lily, those outfits are so cute! My labour time was 6hrs the first time and only 3hrs the second time so hopefully you'll also have a 50% time reduction! Thinking of you!

Damn woman! We were talking about you at work today saying 'Is she STILL pregnant'? I'll let them know that Thursday is the BIG day (unless he gets a move on all by himself). We really hope it goes OK and everyone in DSTO is thinking of you. Can't wait to meet him, he'll look ultra cute in the clothes you've made!

Lily, you are amazing, I can't believe how much you're getting done in these final days - but it must be very tiring with all this waiting. Hope your little one gets moving and makes his appearance very soon - I'll be thinking of you and sending good labour vibes your way.
